With a GDP growth rate outpacing global averages, India is cementing its place as a force to reckon with on the world stage. Its ascent in international politics, trade, and technology has captured the attention of global leaders and corporations alike. From spearheading innovation in healthcare and technology to producing influential leaders helming major global corporations, India is redefining what it means to be a global powerhouse. It’s this dynamic growth and influence that will take center stage at the first-ever west-coast based India Conference, set to be held on January 25, 2025, at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

A Forum for Visionaries

Under the theme “India’s Leap Forward,” this inaugural event promises a day of vibrant discussions, insightful panels, and unparalleled networking opportunities. With over 300 expected attendees and a stellar lineup of speakers, the conference will delve into India’s expanding role across industries such as geopolitics, healthcare, technology, sports, and entertainment.

The conference is the brainchild of Tejaswa Gavankar, a recent USC MBA alumnus, and Raghav Mahajan, a current MBA student. Inspired by the success of the Indian diaspora in the United States, the duo saw a unique opportunity to bridge the growing influence of India with the aspirations of individuals in the US.

“The Indian diaspora in the US is among the most successful communities globally,” shared Gavankar. “From educational achievements to leadership roles in major corporations, their impact is extraordinary. This forum is designed to celebrate that success while offering a platform for inspiration and collaboration.”

Mahajan added, “With India’s economy growing at three times the pace of the US, it’s crucial to recognize the opportunities emerging in this space. Whether it’s your next big business move, a strategic investment, or professional growth, India’s rise presents unparalleled potential.”
